KUHF, Houston Public Radio is looking for a sales account executive who believes that the art of the relationship matters more than the art of the deal...who gets excited by discussing the quality of the audience, rather than living and dying by the latest Arbitron numbers…and who is passionate about the community service mission of public radio.
Our sales team is expanding, and we need a seasoned pro who is comfortable dealing with business and industry leaders. We’re not looking for an order-taker. Creative proposal writing skills are a must, as well as the ability to conduct business in the online sales arena. Familiarity with Marketron, Media Audit, Scarborough and PPM would be a plus.
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of meeting and beating sales goals. (The ideal team member will also be able to recite your own favorite “driveway moment”.) A broadcast sales background is preferred, but we will also consider other sales fields, as well as public relations, marketing, or packaged goods backgrounds.
This is a salaried position, with no commission structure.
