Steve McDowell is President of InfoNation, Inc., a Sugar Land based market information and support firm, providing services over the past 20 years to the auto industry, government agencies and other clients. InfoNation, Inc. is the publisher of TexAuto Facts, a monthly market report of new vehicle sales in the Houston Region. His career includes over 25 years in the oil and gas industry holding positions in engineering, planning and economics, finance and administration, last serving as Vice President Finance and Administration with BP America. He is a Registered Professional Engineer (retired), Missouri PE, and Pepperdine University MBA.
Steve has served in various volunteer organizations for the past 35 years. He currently sits on the Economics Analysis Panel of the Greater Houston Partnership, the Board of Texana Center a provider of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disability Services and the MHMR Authority in six counties west of Houston. He has served as a member of the board of The Texas Council of Community MHMR Centers, member of the board and past-President of the Board of Directors of The Arc of Fort Bend County and as a member of the ARC Texas Legislative Affairs Committee. He was a founding member of Professional Engineers in Construction, served as District President of The American Association of Cost Engineers, past member of Business for the Arts Houston, past Executive Director of Action Ministries of St. Louis.
Steve and Eileen have been residents of Sugar Land since 1982. They are parents of a daughter who is an attorney in Houston and a son who is a teacher in HISD.
